Topalihütte
The place
Staffed Swiss Alpine Club hut at 2,674 m above St. Niklaus in the Valais Mattertal, run by the SAC Monte Rosa section. Thirty-eight beds in season, six spots in the winter room. Summer 2026 season from 27 June to 13 September. Common room with a large panoramic bay window, washrooms with running water, dry toilets. Ideal starting point for the ascent of the Barrhörner and a stage on the Tour du Cervin. The hut celebrates its centenary on 15 and 16 August 2026. Gourmet "Topali evening" on 5 September. Off-season, an emergency shelter (Notraum) at 15 CHF, without kitchen or blankets.
