The place

Six-bunk standard hut managed by the Department of Conservation (DOC) in the Leatham Conservation Area, Marlborough (South Island, New Zealand), at 1,010 m altitude. Access from Bottom Gordons Hut in about 4 h (8 km). Rates until 30 June 2026: NZD 10/night adult, NZD 5 youth (ages 5-17), free under 5. No booking required: purchase a Standard Hut Ticket in advance or an annual Backcountry Hut Pass, payment at the honesty box.
