The place

Self-service cabin run by DNT Oslo og Omegn in the southern Jotunheimen, municipality of Vang (Innlandet, Norway), between Lake Vangsmjøse and Lake Bygdin at 1,488 meters altitude. Exposed high-altitude building opened in 2002. Fourteen beds in total: eight numbered beds bookable in advance, six beds for walkers without a reservation. No electricity; gas for cooking, wood stove for heating, candles for lighting. Duvets, sheets and kitchen equipment provided. Seasonal opening: closed from mid-October until February 15.
