The place

The Terrihütte is a staffed hut of the Swiss Alpine Club, Piz Terri section, located at 2170 m elevation at the entrance to the Greina plateau (Surselva, Grisons, Switzerland). A large building with three common rooms and twelve bedrooms. Staffed from mid-June to mid-October; outside season, a 22-bed winter shelter is available. Reopening mid-June 2026 after a 2025 renovation designed by architect Gion A. Caminada. New wardens: Verena and Jochen (since July 2025). A unique view of the Tödi across the Surselva. A starting point for hut-to-hut tours and easy climbs, especially the traverse from the Val Lumnezia or Sumvitg across the Greina plateau to the Val Blenio in Ticino. Access from the Val Lumnezia via the Diesrut Pass and the 65 m suspension bridge over the Rein da Sumvitg (built in 2018).
