Historic DOC hut located in Te Urewera (East Coast, NZ), at 380 m. Affected by the hut removal programme launched in October 2022 by Te Uru Taumatua (the post-settlement entity for Ngāi Tūhoe), following the Te Urewera Board's decision to decommission DOC infrastructure within Te Urewera. 29 huts were burned in 2022 as part of this programme.
