Standard 6-bunk hut at 228 m in Aorangi Forest Park (Wairarapa, NZ). Open fireplace. Managed by NZDA Porirua. Access via Whakatomotomo Road (off Lake Ferry Road) through private forest: park before the forestry gate, the rest on foot (no vehicle access beyond that point). No bookings: Standard ticket (adults $10, youth $5, under 4s free) or Backcountry Hut Pass. No DOC track: map/compass/GPS required. Respect private property; assess river crossings carefully.
