The place

Free autiotupa managed by Metsähallitus, located on the shore of Lake Tarikkajärvi in the municipality of Salla, Eastern Lapland (coordinates 67.3297° N, 29.0417° E). Six sleeping places, a stove for heating and a gas hob for cooking. No sauna, no running water, no toilets installed, no firewood service. Free use following the general autiotupa rules: open and unlocked, one- to two-night stays without booking. Nearest hut: Kieppi, 8.6 km away.
