The place

Outdoor education centre run by the Tangihua Lions Lodge Trust (a non-profit founded by the Whangarei Mid-Western Lions Club), on Omana Road in Whangarei (Northland, New Zealand), at 84 m. Main lodge with 50 bunks in 2 dormitories, small lodge with 7 places, up to ~80 people with tents. At the heart of the Tangihua Ranges, native DOC forest free of Kauri Dieback. Over 15,000 visitors since opening: schools, families, hiking clubs, sports groups.
