Tammikämppä Wilderness Hut
The place
Free open hut (autiotupa) in Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park (Muonio municipality, Lapland, Finland), managed by Metsähallitus, beside a river with drinking water. The original hut, a former logging camp, was decommissioned due to its poor condition and replaced in 2015 by a building relocated from Arvojärvi (Sodankylä). First stopover point for hikers arriving from the Loka direction. Most easily reached by water along the Luiro river.
