Tahvontupa varaustupa (bookable hut) is located in the wilderness area of Urho Kekkonen National Park (Finnish Lapland), on the bank of the Tyyroja river, a northern tributary of the Jaurujoki. Built in 1966. The same building also houses an autiotupa (free-use hut), with a sauna in the yard. Navigation skills required to reach it; inaccessible during the thaw. Equipment: stove and firewood for heating, no electricity, no running water (water from the Tyyroja river), 2 extendable sleeping platforms, mattresses, pillows, duvets.
