The place

Unstaffed DNT Romsdal cabin at 900 m between Grøvdalen (Isfjorden) and Meringdal (Møre og Romsdal). A complex of two small cabins: the main one and a red emergency cabin 150 m away, each with two rooms and six bunks (twelve places in total). Facilities: water, wood stove, fishing nearby, 12V power, mobile network. Dogs allowed in the lean-to and woodshed of the main cabin. Bring your own food, bedding or sleeping bag liner, and clean up after use. Booking required due to the small capacity and high demand. Summer access: via Meringdalen from Øverås (25.5 km), via Grøvdal in Isfjorden from Rabben, or via marked trails from Hoemsbu, Måsvassbu and Vistdalheia. Winter access unmarked, open to ski touring.
