The place

Standard 12-bunk DOC hut in western Fiordland (NZ), reached via the Dusky Track or by boat via Tamatea/Dusky Sound. No booking, payment by DOC tickets in the honesty box or Backcountry Hut Pass. Boats: Clean Vessel Pass mandatory (Fiordland Marine Pathway Plan). Didymo is present in Lake Manapouri/Waiau but absent from the protected waterways (Spey, Hauroko).
