Getting there
DNT self-service hytte opened in 1970. Easy access from Nystuen on Filefjell, summer and winter alike: 2 h 30 on a marked T trail. In winter, a prepared ski track runs from Nystuen to Sulebu. A recommended side trip to Suletinden gives views across the whole of northern Jotunheimen.

Skarvheimen (not Setesdal Vesthei), near Jotunheimen, 61.14°N 8.18°E, 1330 m, Norway. Skarvheimen cluster with Bjøberg (batch 49, 60.93/8.19 — bus stop). A natural stopover for crossing Skarvheimen.
