The place

Free open-access hut (autiotupa) maintained by Metsähallitus in the Hammastunturi Wilderness Reserve, Finnish Lapland (Inari municipality). Small log building sitting on a narrow isthmus between the lakes Hauki-Suivakkojärvi and Guolle-Čuoivvatjávri. Six shared beds around a wood stove; kitchen equipment, firewood and dry toilets. Access on foot or on skis only, along a marked trail in wilderness terrain. Open free of charge year-round, first come first served, no booking possible.
