Getting there
Two self-service DNT cabins: Nystogo (new, 2023) and Gamleselet, near the old mountain pasture station. Equipped kitchen, bedding, firewood, gas, candles (no electricity). Water from the stream. Summer access: drive to the cabin from Heggenes (between Fagernes and Beitostølen) via Yddin, winter parking at Selstølen (~3 km past Yddin). The trail to Skaget (1686 m) starts right in front of the cabin.
