Steinwaldhütte
The place
Self-catering cabin of the DAV Regensburg section, located at 701 m on the edge of the forest a little way from the hamlet of Pfaben, part of the town of Erbendorf in the Upper Palatinate (Tirschenreuth district, Bavaria). Construction started in autumn 1965 for a total cost of 108,000 DM (with a contribution from industrialist Wilhelm Seltmann), inaugurated on 23 May 1968 in the presence of district administrator Christian Kreuzer and the mayor of Weiden, Hans Bauer.
