The place

Small unmanned wooden cabin managed by Brurskanken Turlag (DNT), leased from Statskog, located at 330 m in Stavassdalen southwest of Trofors (Grane municipality, Nordland). Two sleeping spots, wood stove, tent space on-site. Open year-round. Family-friendly, dogs allowed. Reduced rate for DNT members. Access from Trofors via Vestersiveien (starting at the Coop-Grane store): 11.6 km of road, the last 6 km unplowed in winter. Park then cross the suspension bridge and follow the markers past Lake Stavatnet across the moor to the cabin.
