StarsBox Falchett

The place

StarsBox Falchett, an unusual overnight pod installed in August 2021 on Monte Gambarogno near the Capanna Gambarogno (Ticino), at about 1729 m. Each pod offers a double bed, a window and an opening roof for stargazing. Access from Alpe di Neggia: 2.5 km and 380 m of elevation gain, about 1 hour on foot. 360-degree panoramic view. Special status: both StarsBox pods (Falchett and Lüf) were dismantled for the 2023 season due to non-renewal of Ticino cantonal permits, alongside renovation works at the capanna. The concept was to be repositioned after the hut's reopening in spring 2024 — check current availability directly with the Amis dala Capanna Gambarögn association.
