The place

Former wooden loggers' lodge on the shore of Lake Spikertjern, in the Romeriksåsen (Gjerdrum municipality). DNT Oslo og Omegn. Short approach, fishing possible and plenty of charm. Capacity 4 beds. Self-service category (ubetjent). Facilities: gas stove, wood stove, basic cooking equipment, candles, firewood supply; water from the lake below; no electricity. Summer: ~15 min walk from the Kokstadvangen car park. Winter: marked ski trails from Kokstadvangen (1.3 km) or Strøm in Nittedal (5 km). Open year-round. Advance booking required. Access via DNT key — DNT membership required.
