The place

Unstaffed cabin belonging to Kongsberg og Omegns Turistforening (KOT), the association's southernmost, on the Skrim near Styggemann (Buskerud/Vestfold, Norway), at approximately 630 meters altitude. Fourteen beds spread over two floors in separate rooms. Locked with a DNT key; membership required for at least one member of the group. Facilities: recently installed solar panels, wood stove and small kitchen in the Veslestova (4-bed room), charging possibilities, mobile coverage on site, water from the nearby stream. Summer routes from several parking areas: Ravalsjø (9 km, 2-2.5 h), Kroksbekk (8 km, 2 h), Omholt (8-9 km, 2.5 h); marked winter ski routes from Ravalsjø and Omholt. Booking via UT.no: specific beds pre-bookable in certain rooms, drop-in allowed; refund up to 5 days before arrival. Payment via Vipps or bank transfer. Dogs allowed only in the Veslestova (allergies).
