The place

Cabin managed by DNT Sandefjord at Vestre Kodal near Sandefjord (Vestfold), at 102 m, on the same grounds as Heisetra and 100 m from Lake Heivannet. 9 bunks across 2 bedrooms (bunk beds plus a double bed). Basic kitchen with a hotplate and fridge (no oven), dining room seating 6, heating. Water must be fetched at Heisetra; bring cleaning supplies. Rates: member 1,200 NOK, non-member 2,200 NOK. Arrival 3 pm, departure 1 pm. Weekday rental (Monday-Friday); weekends in July-August. No dogs, bring sheets and firewood, keys at the Circle K in Haukerød. Free rowboat, trails, berry and mushroom picking, cross-country skiing in winter.
