The place

Self-service cabin of DNT Oslo og Omegn in Breheimen National Park (Innlandet/Vestland, Norway), at 920 metres elevation on the western shore of Rauddalsvatnet. The smallest self-service cabin in the DNT Oslo park, built in the 1950s. Four sleeping spots: two bookable in advance and two for walk-ins. A good first stage for those heading from Grotli to the Jostedalsbreen; about 7 h walk from Grotli on a marked trail. Fully equipped: kitchen, bedding and sheets, good provisions store.
