The place

Self-service DNT Romsdal cabin in Skorgedalen, about 20 minutes (900 m) from the parking lot. 21 beds spread across seven rooms on two floors, open year-round, locked with a DNT key. Unusual comfort for an unstaffed cabin: electricity, refrigerator, coffee maker, vacuum cleaner, induction hob, wood stove, drying room, mobile coverage. Bring a sleeping bag or sheet, clean up after use; a small stock of provisions is on site. Summer access via a toll road (130 NOK); in winter the road is ploughed. A destination both for short family getaways and as a base for the peaks Skarven (1,048 m) and Smørbottfjellet (1,188 m). Advance booking and payment required.
