The place
Elm Ski Hut of the SAC Olten Section The Elm Ski Hut, belonging to the SAC Olten section, is an ideal base for ski, snowboard or snowshoe outings and winter hiking in the upper Sernftal. Capacity and Comfort Number of beds: 15 spread across two rooms. Facilities: Fully equipped kitchen with electric stove and refrigerator, plus a bathroom with WC and shower. Heating: The kitchen, dining room, bathroom and bedrooms are heated. Accessibility Accessibility: The hut is easily reached by skiers, snowboarders and walkers via the Elm lift system.
Getting there
Depuis Elm (vallée du Sernftal, Glaris) : en train jusqu'à Schwanden puis bus jusqu'à l'arrêt « Sportbahnen » à Elm, puis remontée mécanique et descente à ski/snowboard, ou à pied en 90 minutes depuis la gare d'arrivée du téléphérique via Hengstboden.
The setting
Située au lieu-dit Empächli/Eggberg, dans le domaine skiable d'Elm, position dominante dans la partie haute de la vallée du Sernftal — adaptée au ski de randonnée, snowboard, raquettes et randonnée hivernale.
A bit of history
Ancienne alphütte (chalet d'alpage) nommée « Oberempächli », louée chaque année et exploitée par la section SAC Olten sous le nom commercial « Skihütte Elm ».
