The place

Self-service hut of DNT Oslo og Omegn (formerly Breistølbu) located on the Hemsedalsfjellet along national road 52. Nine sleeping places in total: six bookable in advance, three walk-in. Self-service mode from 15 February to 15 October, closed the rest of the year. Locked with a standard DNT key. Facilities: running water, 220 V electricity, heating stoves, shower, toilets, equipped kitchen. Supplies available (provisions and bedding). Year-round access by car or express bus (Breistølen stop); no parking at the hut, parking 2 km away at Draugshellaren. In summer, 400 m trail from the Breistølen lodge. Payment via the DNT app (preferred, works offline), a slip left in the strongbox on departure, or an international card; no cash. Dogs not allowed. Booking via hyttebestilling.dnt.no, arrive before 7 pm to keep your reserved place.
