DNT tower-hut at 1,843 m atop Skåla (Loen, Vestland, Norway). Built in 1891 by Dr. Henrik Kloumann as a therapeutic observation tower for tuberculosis patients; listed as a historic monument. A multi-storey circular stone tower. 20 beds. Self-service (selvbetjent). A famous route with 1,843 m of elevation gain from Tjugen or Loen (4-6 h one way, one of the most demanding of the DNT classics). Main season June-September. Booking via hyttebestilling.dnt.no.
