The place

Kota (tipi-shaped hearth shelter) for rent from Metsähallitus in the municipality of Enontekiö (Tunturi-Lappi), about 7 km on foot from the Tunturi-Lappi Nature Centre in Hetta. Sámi name Šiššat / Sissanki. Hourly rental (1, 3, 6, or 12 h) between 6 am and midnight. Open hearth for warmth, no insulated heating or electricity. Dry toilet nearby. Coffee pot provided; bring your own cups and utensils. No running water — natural water source 100 m away on the Pahtajärvi trail. Camping permitted on the property.
