The place
Staffed Swiss Alpine Club hut at 2,341 m in the Silvretta massif, in the Engadine (Graubünden), run by the SAC St. Gallen section. Sixty-nine beds in high season. Extended year-round schedule: winter season from February to early May for ski touring, summer season from 20 June to 18 October. Winter room under renovation until August 2026. Waypoint on the classic Silvretta ski and hiking traverses, access to the Piz Buin and Silvrettahorn summits. Half board, wine evenings and gourmet dinners organised on occasion. Member of the Swisstainable sustainability programme.
