The place

Selhamar turisthytte at 874 m in open mountain terrain, on the shore of the Selhamarvatnet (Stølsheimen, Hordaland, Norway). The largest DNT hut of Bergen og Hordaland Turlag in the Stølsheimen. Central DNT trail network, close to driveable roads in summer. 46 beds in total: main building 31 beds (6 rooms on the ground floor + 2 lofts with mattresses), annex building 15 beds (rooms + attic). Large common room and drying room in the main building. Annex with latrine and woodshed. No running water or electricity. About 1h30 access from the Kvilesteinsvatnet or Askjedalsvatnet.
