Shelter hut (“Schutzhütte”) on the green-marked trail that leaves the Börnichener Straße (S227) at Börnichen toward the Neunzehnhainer Talsperre (dam), in the Bornwald — a wooded area in the northern foothills of the Erzgebirge (Saxony, Germany). Parking before the forest edge. The shelter recalls the history of the Bornwald, today a deserted former forest village. Börnichen/Erzgebirge is a municipality situated between the Flöha and Zschopau valleys, north of the Bornwald. A simple stopover for picnics and shelter in bad weather.
