The place
Staffed hut at 2,306 m in the Puez-Odle Nature Park, in the South Tyrol Dolomites above the Val di Funes (Villnöss). Built in 1898, it is a major stop on the Munich-Venice High Route and on Alta Via 2 and 8 of the Dolomites. Managed by the Nitz family, it offers rooms with or without bedding, dormitories, shared bathrooms, and a paid shower. Lunch service from 11:30 to 15:00, dinner reserved for overnight guests.
