The place
Low-altitude shelter in the Šar Mountains (Sharri Mountains), a mountain range in southeastern Europe stretching from southern Kosovo to northwestern North Macedonia and northeastern Albania. The range's border begins at the town of Prizren and follows the Prizren Bistrica and Lepenac rivers. Located at about 418 m, near Prizren — Kosovo's second-largest urban center, famous for its Ottoman heritage listed as a protected site. The area serves as a gateway to Sharri National Park, which culminates at Titov Vrv (2747 m). The Brezovica ski resort (900-2524 m) sits on the northwestern slope, about 1 hour from Prizren. A basic foothill shelter, possibly a shepherd's or fisherman's hut in the Bistrica valley.
