The place
Hut with no official name located at about 1332 m in the Aragonese Pyrenees (Huesca, Spain), in the Valle de Aragüés del Puerto area beneath the slopes of the Peña Blanca massif, heading toward the Refugio de Lizara (Llanos de Lizara, 1540 m). The area contains many pastoral cabanas and high-altitude shelters converted into official free refugios by the Red Natural de Aragón. A typical Pyrenean high-pasture hut: a basic dry-stone or stone-and-wood shelter, open and unstaffed, with minimal facilities. Serves as a stopover on routes from the Selva de Oza toward the Sansanet and the GR11, or for outings from Aragüés del Puerto toward the ibons of Llanos de Lizara and the Bisaurín massif (2670 m).
Getting there
