The place

Unstaffed DNT cabin belonging to Vang Almenning, managed by Hamar og Hedemarken Turistforening (HHT), at 599 m on the Rondane trail near Lavlia, northeast of Brumundkampen (Innlandet). 6 sleeping places (2 bunk beds), main room with beds, equipped kitchenette, drying room. Solar panels (renovated in June 2026) for lighting and USB chargers, wood stove, propane cooking. Summer access: 200 m from a forest road north of Lavlia, marked trail (20 min from Lavlia). Winter: not connected to the Sjujøløypa, about 2 km to cover. River water 50 m away (must be boiled). Dog kennel and fire pit. Important area for wild reindeer: stick to marked trails and keep dogs on a leash.
