The place

Vuokratupa (paid-booking cabin) run by Metsähallitus in Tiilikkajärvi National Park (Rautavaara municipality, Pohjois-Savo, Finland). Capacity 2 beds in a single 10 m² room. Facilities: gas heating and cooking, gas fridge, solar lighting and 12 V charging, kitchen utensils and dishes provided, mattresses, blankets and pillows (bring your own sheets or sleeping bag), dry toilet, compost bin. **No running water** — to be fetched from the nearby lake or stream. No electricity. Pets allowed. Near the Sammakkotammi car park (Valtimontie 1095, road 87); about 10 km on foot from the Pohjoisniemi car park via the Tiilikan kierros trail (the western half requires a 150 m crossing by rowing boat). Season 15 May-1 November. Rate €45/night (from 15 May 2026). Cleaning must be done before departure. Booking via Eräluvat.fi.
