The place

Open cabin located in the upper part of Saltpyttflotti in Rauland (Vinje, Vestfold og Telemark, Norway), at 1,430 metres elevation. 42 m² floor area, capacity of 8 people with mattresses provided. Equipment: solar panels, cooking equipment, propane heating, firewood provided; bring toilet paper and personal consumables. No booking possible: "never full", open access on a first-come basis. Rate NOK 150 locals / NOK 300 non-locals per night, free under 16, payment via Vipps (114646) on departure. Access is roughly 1.5 hours from Våjordsvollen by boat, or about 1 extra hour if starting from Trolldalsdammen without a boat. Cabins closed for winter use since 2023 to protect wild reindeer.
