The place

Basic 9-bunk hut in Te Kahui Kaupeka Conservation Park (Canterbury, NZ). Managed by the Canterbury Mountaineering Club. No official DOC track: full self-sufficiency required (map, compass, GPS). Possible unbridged stream crossings — avoid in flood. Free for CMC members, payable for non-members; DOC passes not accepted.
