The place
Historic 2-bunk DOC hut at 212 m on the shores of Lake Monowai in Fiordland National Park (Borland Road area). A newer 6-bunk hut is located nearby. Free access, on foot via the Rodger Inlet Track or by boat. The site is described as "idyllic" on the lakeshore. Map CE07, NZTM2000 E1168607, N4906745.
