Refuge known as "Panei (or Magrini)" at 2178 m on the ridge descending from Monte Magnola towards the Valle Majelama, in the Velino-Sirente massif area (municipality of Massa d'Albe, Ovindoli area, province of L'Aquila, Abruzzo — not the Sibillini Marche as one might assume). A high-altitude stopover for hikers and mountaineers, a base for ascents of Monte Magnola and traverses of the Monti Marsicani. Basic shelter, unstaffed. Routes accessible from Ovindoli and the ski resort area.
