The place
Mountain refuge of CAI Torino located at Grange della Valle, in the municipality of Exilles, in the upper Susa Valley (Piedmont, Italy), at about 1850 m elevation. It stands in the Galambra amphitheater, on the edge of a larch forest, within a fully protected reserve home to ibex, chamois, and eagles. It serves as a hiking waypoint and a renowned climbing base.
