Rifugio Lavaredo
The place
Guarded refuge at 2,344 m at the heart of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, in the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Twenty-four beds split between shared rooms of four to six people and private rooms for two. Half board seven days a week in season, sheets and slippers provided, shared bathrooms, free Wi-Fi during the day. Major waypoint on the Sentiero #101 linking the massif's main refuges. Dogs not allowed, children under six only in private rooms.
Getting there
Twenty-minute walk from the Rifugio Auronzo car park via trail #101 (EUR 40 parking fee for twelve hours, online booking required from late April onward). Other routes from the Val Marzon in 3 h, or from the Val Fiscalina via the Rifugio Locatelli.
