The place
Refuge on the Cansano - Pescocostanzo road, about 6 km from Cansano (province of L'Aquila, Abruzzo), in the Bosco di Sant'Antonio — a forest famous as a destination for hikers and photographers, especially in autumn. At 1124 m according to external sources (DB 1185 m). Single-story building with red walls. Two rooms: the first with a fireplace, kitchenette, table and chairs, accessible from outside; the second, a 7-bed dormitory. A managed refuge, usable only in the presence of a guide. Accessible via trail O2 of the Majella National Park. Currently inaccessible due to renovation work.
