Staffed CAS/SAT alpine refuge, used on cross-border circuits with Italian Piedmont (Val Formazza) and the Sella-Föisc high-route traverses. Mineral alpine zone with granite scree.

Trois itinéraires principaux (T2) : depuis la gare de Piora (1794m, funiculaire depuis Piotta), environ 1h10 ; depuis le barrage de Ritom (1851m, accessible en voiture), environ 1h10 ; depuis Brugnasco (1380m, accessible en voiture), environ 3h.
