Rifugio Eugenio Ferreri
The place
Unstaffed refuge at 2,207 m in the Vallone della Gura, in Val Grande di Lanzo, in the Graian Alps in the commune of Groscavallo (Piedmont). Building dating from 1887, open year-round and able to accommodate eight people. Historically opened in 1887 under the name Rifugio della Gura, built at the initiative of lawyer Giuseppe Corrà. Restructured in the 1940s-1950s and renamed after the mountaineer and writer Eugenio Ferreri. Restored in summer 2013 thanks to the intervention of the CAAI, GISM and CAI Torino, officially reopened on 8 September 2013.
Getting there
Access from Forno Alpi Graie (1,219 m) via a hiking trail of difficulty grade E, around 3 h.
