Accommodation capacity: 127 Refuge open but unguarded in winter Guarded refuge from mid-June to mid-September (dates vary depending on weather conditions, particularly snow cover early in the season, the upper Val Ferret being very avalanche-prone) No option to book via the Tour du Mont-Blanc's online booking platform 2025 opening: 21 June to 30 September 2026 opening: 6 June to 27 September Warm atmosphere with wooden furniture, exposed stone walls, a fireplace Large refuge with several dormitories of around thirty spots each, double rooms also available. Silk liner required (available for purchase). Lunch (12pm-2:45pm) and dinner for half-board (6:45pm), bar during the day (7:30am-9:30pm), breakfast (6am-8am) Prices (2026): Dormitory spot: 50€ Dormitory spot with half-board: 70€ (guide 45€) Breakfast: 18€ Packed lunch: 15€ Add 2€/day municipal tax per person No bivouacking allowed around the refuge (prohibited below 2500m in Italy). Weak to non-existent mobile signal, reception is a bit better up on the rock at the south end of the terrace overlooking the Val Ferret. Animals not allowed. For the winter room: access via a door under the terrace, 9 spots on mattresses, small wooden furniture, power outlet (though it may not work in winter).
