The place

A naturalist refuge set on Monte Paganuccio, in the heart of the Gola del Furlo State Nature Reserve (Marche, Italy). Owned by the Marche Region, entrusted to the municipality of Fossombrone and managed by the Province of Pesaro e Urbino, which administers the reserve. Mainly educational and scientific in purpose: residential courses, environmental-naturalist research, open to institutions, associations and organised groups by reservation. Capacity of 25 beds, industrial gas kitchen, dining room for 36, an educational room for 20 and a library. Recently renovated for accessibility: a stairlift and a second accessible bathroom. Strategically placed on the Paganuccio ridge trails overlooking the spectacular Gola del Furlo and the course of the Candigliano river.

CAI trail 451 from Sant'Anna or variant 452A. Reservation required through the Gola del Furlo Reserve (Province of PU).
