Stone refuge known as "Rifugio Attilio" (local signs: Bivacco Fagianelli), in a wild, remote setting, created by restoring one of the former Capanne dei Fagianelli (a pastoral settlement halfway between Vico and the Capanne della Curtiglia). Located in the commune of Bagnone, just below Monte Brusa and near the Passo Guadine, in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines (Lunigiana, TUSCANY — not Lombardy as one might assume). CAI trail 122 from Vico Valle. Nearby, the spectacular Cascata dei Fagianelli (the highest waterfall in Lunigiana, a single 40 m drop).
