Rifugio Alpini di Gargnano
The place
ANA baita in Località Briano, on the southwest slope of Cima Còmer, in the heart of the Garda mountains (province of Brescia, Upper Garda). Built from scratch by volunteers of the ANA of Gargnano (Giacomo Samuelli group) over three years of voluntary work, inaugurated in 1985 with its adjoining small chapel. At the foot of Monte Denervo. Open to the public from spring to autumn, every Sunday and public holiday. The group does not run a bar/catering service except on special occasions (Festa degli Alpini in July); visitors can cook their own meals in the indoor kitchen and at the outdoor fireplaces. A large annual festival on the third Sunday of July.
