The place

Alpine refuge at 1745 m on the Alpe di Peurett, on the left orographic slope of the Val Leventina at the foot of the western flank of the Pizzo di Claro (Ticino, Switzerland). Always open with a key on site; eight beds, gas lighting, fireplace and wood stove for heating, gas stove. Access via multiple routes: from Benz, from Sauru (via Domas and Forcarid), from Peu, from Cresciano (via Alpe Rosso-Peu), or via the Valle di Cresciano (Ruscada and Peu — blue route reserved for expert hikers). A typical mineral and pastoral setting of the Ticino prealps, a favored base for climbs on the Pizzo di Claro and hikes to the Laghetto di Canée.
