Ricovero Casera Presoldon
The place
Unstaffed ricovero at 1300 m in the municipality of Verzegnis (Carnia), on the northern slope of Monte Lovinzola. Reachable via a pleasant walk from the Sella Chianzutan: about 1 h 20 and 400 m of ascent to reach the panoramic spot where the Casera Presoldon stands. Although unmanaged, the refuge offers comfortable shelter: main room with a large fireplace, functional kitchen with a traditional stove, upstairs bedroom. Inside: fireplace, large table with two benches, fully equipped kitchen, and an upstairs bedroom with two beds. Wide views over the Tolmezzo basin, especially beautiful in summer. A favorite waypoint for family hikers of the Tagliamento.
